The last years have been very tough psychologically, so getting help with specific problems and developing habits to maintain a relaxed resilience can make a huge difference.
Hypnotherapy for anxiety and overwhelm in Frome
I find Solution Focused Hypnotherapy a great framework to help clients of all ages get lasting, positive changes. This is done by giving you a clear and simple understanding of why we get into the emotional states we do from a neurological perspective.
Once we understand that we are not broken (despite how it may feel) and that generally it is ancient survival mechanisms being inappropriately activated, we can start to make the changes of habit necessary to get back into good balance again. This is supported by relaxing trance work which makes the process of change that much easier.
The journey back to wellbeing can be quite swift, only taking a few sessions and almost everyone finds it very empowering to realise how much they can influence their wellbeing once they understand their neuroscience-biology better. Here are some of the areas I can help you with:

About Me
I’m an accredited Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist treating privately in Frome, Somerset and also from a clinic in Bradford on Avon. I received the DHP (Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy) award in 2014 and have since helped many hundreds of people. I trained at the Clifton Practice in Bristol, a recognised centre of excellence in hypnotherapy. I’m a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). In addition to my hypnotherapy skills I’m trained in counselling, assisting with trauma and youth mentoring. I came to experience the benefit of hypnotherapy first as an 18 year old struggling to cope with the stresses of exams and have been working with young people and adults since 2010. Read more about me here.
About You
We can all cope with a regular level of stress in our days, but when we find that we are frequently short tempered or feeling flat, it is a good time to get some assistance. I realise that many of us don’t get that help for years until it gets overwhelming, but like most things, that is not ideal. So learning how we are emotionally made and how to be more relaxed in circumstance that previously overwhelmed us, is profoundly inspiring and can be applied for the rest of our lives. Whether you are a young adult or an over-stretched professional and parent, I know you will find there is much to be gained from this help. Read more about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy here.
What Clients Say:
“I had been suffering with Health anxiety (Hypochondria) for about 1 year and it was progressively getting worse. Toby was recommended to me by my Head Teacher and I immediately took up the offer of some hypnotherapy sessions. I had never considered hypnotherapy before but I totally believe in its benefits and I would highly recommend Toby to anyone who is struggling with any form of anxiety, anger or just to anyone who is just experiencing a difficult time, it really does help.”
N Edmunds, Teacher and Director of Faculty
“Your sessions helped me deal with worries and problems in a very different way. They taught me how to take control of my emotions, and process my thoughts on another level. It was also great to be able to let out any problems and find simple solutions to them.”
H Ibrahim, Teacher
Young Adults and Solution Focused Hypnotherapy:
“Dear Toby, I just wanted to say the biggest thank-you for all the work you did with me leading up to my GCSE’s. I can honestly say it was some of the most beneficial practices I’ve ever done towards school and my learning – it was so incredibly useful!! I managed to somehow get a B in maths and Geography and I know that without your help I would definitely not have been able to achieve those grades. You helped me so so much and I am so grateful for all the work you did with me over those few months, it helped change my attitude towards school in such a positive way and its still working now I’m in sixth form!”
Thea R, Student
“Hi Toby, thank-you so much for helping Max get reconnected in himself. He was so calm, he even walked differently. He can’t wait to come back, he said he wants to always feel like that!”
